Maybe there should be some question you have to answer when you register an account ("What is the name of the main character in a certain point-and-click game we're making a sequel to?"), or a captcha when posting.

What's your thoughts about this, forum goers/Quill o' the wisp staff?

EDIT: Oh, and we probably shouldn't be replying to the spam bots' messages - just reporting them to the staff will do.

I agree towth you in the captcha... about answering to the messages... the admins will delete them, so I don't really see a point in not doing it :D

I'm not sure the report button works... Does it?

I mean, I'm not getting notifications, and I'm guessing it's because the free hosting doesn't have the mail() function activated, so they probably don't get the report notification at all :S

The first time I reported a spam bot, I got an email from a staff member (Duke, iirc), so I'm certain that the report function works (or at least worked)

From what Duke told me, our webmaster Selmiak already implemented the questions "firewall". But if that's true, it's certainly NOT working at all. But at least, my sexual issues are no more, thanks to those spammers. :P

Well, they are very smart bots. Both i the intelligent and fashionable meaning, at least looking at their posts.

There is a Captcha and a question. I am open for new questions for registering for the forum, but asking for a name is kinda hard for FORGE/LOOM newcomers.
Maybe, what's the name of this game? But some 50% will type Loom >_>

As for questions, we could go with location based ones:
"Alice fell down the rabbit hole and ended up in...?"

Or something else relating to a place. "Paris is the capitol of...?"
