: English voice actor here!
: Arjak June 15, 2012, 01:47:32 PM
Hey, I was wondering if I could try out for a role in this. I loved Loom when I was a kid, playing the CD version that came with our first CD-ROM drive, and I would very much like to be a part of this.

I am willing to try out for any male role and I do have some voice acting experience. Please let me know what I should do to audition.

Thank you. :)

Not that it's my decision or anything, but what have you VA'd in? :D

Nothing too major. I have done voices for two fan dubs of Japan-only video games. Both games were for the PC Engine, a system called the TurboGrafx-16 abroad. Funnily enough, there was a port of Loom for that system! Unfortunately, neither dub has been released yet, but hopefully that will change soon. :)

Edit: Oops! I forgot to talk about the roles I played! Here's some basic info:

Game: Legend of Xanadu II; Role Played: Nuse, an obnoxious scholar (Minor Character)

Game: Ys IV: Dawn of Ys; Role Played: Soldier #2 (Bit Part)

Nuse in particular had lots of lines. If neccessary, I'll try to get permission to share some samples of my work.

I'm glad of your interest Arjak, and thanks for the offer. But actually recordings were supposed to start a week ago, and even if I had to delay in the hope of some people getting in touch with me, I can't wait any more.
Luckily I've got enough auditions to provide a really good dub for the incoming demo, and so I'll consider your offer for the finished game, which will require a lot more actors, of course.

Cheers,

-Gabriele
