Well this little project is my brain child. I've seen many attempts at a LOOM sequel come and go over the years, some more polished than others. While I cannot guarantee a complete game with hours of entertainment, my immediate goal is to give the public a fresh LOOM experience that will take you back to the Age of the Great Guilds. I hope a few of my artists and programmers may drop a line here in the next few days if they're interested, and we can get to know each other there. There are no immediate time lines in place, nor is there a current playable demo ready for release. But, I promise that anything relevant will be posted on the board as a teaser, or as an official production release. Contact: If you wish to contact me you can do so in the following ways. 1) Create a topic with your question. others may have the same question. 2) Message me on the board here, nice easy way to track communication. 3) Email, send me a direct email at Da_Duke2000@hotmail.com. 4) MSN, same addy as above :). On a personal note, I'm 25, and live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I keep thinking I'm the only Canadian into the adventure scene, not that I mind people from overseas at all :). : Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : abisso July 24, 2009, 05:05:00 AM Abisso, from Italy. Pleased to be here.
After a few adventure games developed by myself, a lot of unfinished projects and, most important, about three years of game-making inactivity, I decided to get back into business. Duke was in need of help with a game of his (didn't know it was The Forge), and I offered. I can code and help with the plot and the puzzle creation. We haven't yet decided which of these things I'll actually do in the game-making team. There's not much more to say: I'm 25, and I study Computer Science at Pisa, Italy, just 20 minutes from Livorno, where I live. : Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : dracothuban July 26, 2009, 02:54:00 PM Well I am Dracothuban. I am 27. I am in the army and I am from California, USA :D. I was first turned on to adventure games by Monkey Island. I saw a walkthrough in a Gamepro or something back in the day and I thought the insult swordfighting was hilarious. At that time I didn't have a computer so I had to wait until Monkey Island 4 to be able to play and I loved it. Since then my adventure game list includes all monkey islands, Loom (of course), the dig, all of the Mysts, runaway, Return to Mysterious Island, Keepsake, Secret Files: Tunguska, and Riddle of the sphinx. Those are all that i can remember :D. I love games in general and hope i can contribute something that seems like a great project thus far.
Oh btw i was tapped for this project because of a Let's Play series for loom on youtube. It can be found at http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=5F94D3B7FABF0361 (http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=5F94D3B7FABF0361) : Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : Da_Duke2000 July 26, 2009, 02:59:00 PM Welcome aboard. I hope you, along with the others, will be able to assist us with some nice contributions to the game.
: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : kaio July 26, 2009, 04:25:00 PM I'm kaio, from Germany. I'm an adventure fan since I'm a kid. I'm currently the character designer for the Indiana Jones project "Crown of Solomon" and did some various other stuff in the past. I'm also coding a LOOM template for AGS, but I'm quite new to coding. I could help with graphics for characters, animations and backgrounds. LOOM always was my favourite adventure. I dreamed about being the director of a possible LOOM-movie all my life, but developing the sequel is better than this :D. Hello everyone, I'm excited to get it going!
: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : spellbreaker July 26, 2009, 09:35:00 PM Hi there!
My Name is Nico, I'm living in Hamburg/Germany. I want to wish you the best for your Project. We are working on our own Loom-FanGame too, but completely different, we are continuing the Story of Bobbin instead of going the (original) way of Rusty Nailbender. I like the retro-style of your project, mabye You'll come up with "fold" too? :) I am doing the part of coding and scripting, we are using the Wintermute Engine for our Game, which is 1280x800 hires. I'm looking forward to seeing how this project turns out (by the looks of it so far, I'd say it looks to be good) : Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : Da_Duke2000 July 27, 2009, 04:14:00 AM Welcome aboard everyone. And yes indeed, if the demo is recieved well within the community, and demand is there. We will complete a full FORGE game, and definately continue on and make FOLD.

I'm a total adventure game junkie that's been playing since he was like 8. I'm in all probability going to be doing some background art for this game. Add me on fouridragon@hotmail.com fouridragon@ymail.com to discuss anything. or look me up as Shonen-Ai Guy on the AGS forums. I'm new to LOOM but in love with it (thx duke). I'm Matt from England, I'm 29 and I'll be working on some backgrounds for the game. I played a lot of the old Lucasarts games starting with Zak McKrakin and then moving onto Monkey Island 1+2, Fate Of Atlantis, Sam and Max etc.- never managed to finish any of them without guides though. Only played through Loom last year (and yeah, I had to use a guide at one point...). At the moment I'm stuck on the Dig, but haven't folded and looked at a guide yet...! : Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : abisso October 27, 2009, 07:33:00 PM Welcome aboard Matt... I'm pleased to have you in the team, since I looked at some of your art at Pixeljoint: really really nice.

I am Angelina 28 from Greece. I have been a great fan of Loom since I first played it back in the 90ies on an amiga 500 plus and was mostly impressed by its story. I also admire its author for it! If you need people to work on the texts I might be able to contribute. I am actually a ballet teacher and I know Swan Lake almost by heart... I could recommend some scores to be used in the new game. That is, I hope you will use some original Tschaikovsky melodies! : Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : abisso November 07, 2009, 01:31:00 AM Hi Angelina, and welcome to the boards. I find you with the forum of Indiana Jones FOY (great guys by the way) Here my site, for doing some pixels on my time http://coeur.pour.choeur.free.fr/ (http://coeur.pour.choeur.free.fr/) : Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : abisso November 14, 2009, 10:54:00 PM Hi Daji! I'm sure everyone will appreciate your contribution.
The only thing I must underline is that we're not following the adventures of Bobbin... we're following the story of Rusty and his struggle to banish Chaos from The Forge (TM) :) Thanks, we'll contact you soon! I thought the tech demo was awesome, but I'm not entirely sure I like the schematic drawing. I feel like it's too sensitive and time consuming. I just imagine it would be kind of cumbersome to have to try 10 different schematics on something and hope that it works. Maybe rather than clicking and holding/tracing, if you just had to place 4-8 pins to connect lines in a certain pattern? That would be a little more in line with casting a pattern in Loom, also. (http://i337.photobucket.com/albums/n377/GodzillaX8/forge.gif?t=1270418870) I made this crappy little animation to show what I mean. : Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : Da_Duke2000 April 04, 2010, 09:18:50 PM Thank you so much for joining our forum, and for your ideas. I have to say that the GUI is probably in its 95% completed stage, but I do understand the concept of your idea. Its something that we've dabbled with before.
I appreciate your diagram, its very clear. There are a few small issues with the current GUI, but your idea is definitely something I would like to talk with Abisso about. The sensitivity of the current system is something that you and a few others have mentioned, and it something that we are aware of. Don't worry though, we will address it. As far as the hassle of drawing 10 different schematics and hoping something works, the same could be said with the Drafts in Loom, or could also be true of any Adventure game with inventory/combination puzzles. Trail and Error. Hopefully our puzzles will be clever enough that the player won't be resorting to that. : Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : Pale Man April 05, 2010, 03:09:49 PM Also, I didn't mean to imply that the schematic system was bad or trial and error puzzles are inherently bad. I actually really like the schematic system and don't usually end up getting to the point of trial and error in most adventures, but I just feel like changes similar to what I described above would make it a lot more user friendly and intuitive feeling, while removing the need for the user to be so intent and focused on precision while drawing out a schematic.
I think that if the user simply defined the points in the schematic rather than drawing out all the lines, it'd be a lot smoother feeling, and you could draw out schematics very quickly once you had memorized them. Although, if I were using a tablet PC, or it were somehow ported to iphone/ipad or something similar, the drawing would likely feel much more intuitive. : Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : pwblaine May 04, 2010, 02:33:53 PM Patrick here, Loom fanactic since... well let's go with forever.
I've always been light into game developing, often writing fan faction of the old lucasarts adventures and back in the days before MX and actionscript I would use flash, coupled with screenshots of the old lucasarts games to extract the sprites and make my own lucas arts scenes. Currently, I'm using Lassie to breathe life into my own comic collection called "king pollo diablo" it's pretty much a mix of grim fandango, monkey island, homestar runner and sam & max. though i'm not familiar with how to use AGS (never owned a PC) i'd quite familiar with almost all aspects of game and story design anything i can do, testing, music, voice recording, writing, whatever, i would be more than happy to help. Duke and Abisso, you guys are my heroes for putting this little team together... well except for brain moriarty of course anyways feel free to contact me about whatever, pwblaine@gmail.com : Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : abisso May 05, 2010, 05:21:19 AM :o Oh... I hope that FORGE will acompony it well.
If LOOM never got a sequel, meteors would plumete into the Nintendo HQ destroying all sighns of video games! Sales would plumate and the company would be shut down! An army of three headed monkeys would lay siege to Lucasarts destroyng all coffee mugs causing the employes to go crazy at the loss of their cafinated allies! They would resort to juiceing the video games and would die of the disgusting muck! All because LOOM's sequel would never be created! And then the surviving members of Lucasarts would hear my angry rageing voice in their dreams. YOU WILL HEAR FOR ALL ETERNITY, THE CRIES OF THOSE YOU HAVE ABANDONNED LUCASARTS! YOU WILL ALWAYS KNOW, THAT YOU HAVE LEFT THEM UNDER CHAOS'S RULE!!! >:( *pant* *pant* :P But because of FORGE, that won't happen! ;D : Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : abisso May 17, 2010, 05:57:28 AM :o Can I take so much responsibility on my shoulders? : Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : Argyle June 01, 2010, 10:14:11 AM Hello everyone. My name is Carl Douglas and I'm a graphic artist, illustrator, animator, and pixel artist. I will be lending my artistic abilities toward the making of Forge.
By day I work at a community newspaper publishing company creating ads and laying out content for a few weekly publications; by night I wrangle babies and artistify things. My personal portfolio for some of the body of work I have done can be found here - ArgyleBox.com (http://www.argylebox.com) (the site is hardly finished - it is just a very basic link dump in a gallery view). Also, here's a link to my PixelJoint Profile (http://www.pixeljoint.com/p/13899.htm). I have been a lover of the pixel art aesthetic since my childhood from playing King's Quest, Space Quest, Leisure Suit Larry, NES/SNES, etc. but I have only been actively pursuing learning to work within the medium for perhaps the last 2 or 3 years. With a background as an illustrator and flash animator before this, the transition into the medium has not been too harsh. :) I look forward to working on this great ambitious project with you all. The design plan and what is being presented so far is very well thought out and an excellent continuation on what Loom left us off with! : Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : selmiak June 01, 2010, 04:25:32 PM wasn't argyle the driver of John McClaine in Die Hard1?!

And thanks. I love that animation, I just hope to find time to clean up the actual rendering of it one of these days. Submitted that one as was for a mustache challenge that was going on over there but only had time to flesh out the animation timing on it and not so much make it pretty :P : Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : Da_Duke2000 June 03, 2010, 12:14:00 PM Welcome officially Argyle, and to any following the topic, Argyle is indeed an artist well suited to the Loom Style.
: Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : Africa July 31, 2010, 02:03:55 AM I'm 23, from the US and living in Israel right now, just kicking around after college before heading back to grad school and committing myself to a career. I played Loom as a little kid with my dad and it's one of the first games in my memory along with all kinds of other early-90s classics like Monkey Island 1 and 2, Commander Keen, Master of Orion, the King's Quest games, etc. I always loved Loom and I've been waiting for something like this to happen for the past two decades.
I can't really contribute anything other than maybe dialogue or storyline editing and don't know if I'd have time to do that, but I'm real excited about playing this. Edit: I guess I could also potentially contribute art ideas. I'm an amateur photographer and I'm living right now in an Arab town with a really beautiful old city full of all kinds of architectural gems; maybe some of my photos could lend inspiration for set design. here are my photos - http://s263.photobucket.com/home/julesdoesthemiddleeast (http://s263.photobucket.com/home/julesdoesthemiddleeast) : Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : Da_Duke2000 August 11, 2010, 08:22:42 PM Sorry for the late reply, welcome to the forum! When I met this Cobb character in Secret of Monkey Island, I did a little research on Loom, and a few days ago, I bought it, and am now in love with it.
I'd love to help you guys in some way with Forge, but I don't really know in what way. While I am a pixel artist (not a professional one, though), I've never sprited in any style similar to the one used in Loom, so I can't say for sure if I can be of help. : Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : Da_Duke2000 December 31, 2010, 12:26:06 PM Welcome to the forum you two! And happy new year! : Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : Unai January 13, 2011, 03:25:12 PM Hey! Well, after two messages I'm introducing myself :D
I'm Unai (real name here, no nickname!) from Bilbao, Spain. During my childhood I played some of the classic Adventure Games (MI 1 & 2, Simon 2, Loom...) and got hooked. I've been a fan since then. I got introduced to AGS a few years ago by the Fountain of Youth game in development, but didn't look much into it until recently. Lately I've become more interested in game creation, and I've been soaking myself with AGS documentation. I studied Computer Engineering, so I used C a lot in college and hope scripting in AGS is not a problem for me. I want to try and make stuff in AGS, so I'll need to create a small game or either find one I can help with (wink, wink). In the past I used my programming skills to create scripts for a Neverwinter's Nights Permanent World based on Dragonlance. Also as for programming, I also use my skills helping develop a Spanish role-playing website called Comunidad UmbrÃa (http://www.comunidadumbria.com), using PHP. Even if I can't draw much I can use Photoshop pretty well, but my area is usually photomanipulation (not very useful for a game... but you never know). In the past I've created spell icons and other small stuff, mostly using stock images as a base. I want to give sprites a try when I create my first game, but probably will need help with this... I think that's pretty much everything for now! : Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : ED April 11, 2011, 10:31:17 AM so Im standing up and Introducing myself.

Needless to say that Loom was one of my favorite games as a child, and I must say, so far Forge keeps to the same standard! I would really like to help the project somehow get completed, but I have no idea how... never done any pixel art, and I understand this is the main bottleneck right now. Maybe I can bring pizza around when the first Forge Developer Meeting will take place! ;D : Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : abisso May 24, 2011, 08:37:07 AM One more reason to organise it in Italy then! Yay!!!! Welcome aboard compatriot!
: Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : selmiak May 25, 2011, 09:21:10 AM Cool, I'll come to Italy for this for sure :D
: Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : Da_Duke2000 May 26, 2011, 01:26:53 AM Just make sure the pizza is a Canadian (Ham, Mushroom and Bacon). Then I could attend vicariously through the entree. And thank you for your kind words!
We know full well that the art shortage has put a damper on our spirits and slowed our progress over all. Its been discussed that we may need to take a summer hiatus to regroup and play catch up with a few things before we progress any further. My main focus is still to make a fully functional and playable Chapter 1 for us to show for our efforts and to give all you guys something to chew on. Scripting is a large task for Abisso to handle alone, so we're certainly not rushing him. Some of it can be very dull work. I'll do my best to keep with the updates though, I do want people to see life in Forge still :). : Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : smasherimp December 08, 2011, 05:48:56 PM Hi there, I'm 17 and from New Zealand.
I've always been into retro games, which is something most people my age can't comprehend. Loom is up there with the classics, and one of my all time favourite games along with Chrono Trigger and Rez. I'm a musician, and have been for around 8 years. I'm hoping to be part of this project in a big way, but you can find out more about that in the audio section of the forum, Looking forward to getting to know you all Dan : Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : abisso December 08, 2011, 06:20:56 PM Welcome, young one, and don't be worried. Even most people MY age can't comprehend love for early nineties game. You're the 2nd 17 yo in a few days, and this really makes me hope for the future of videogames' creation.
Can't wait to read your post in the audio section: please make sure you provide something to show your skills. You can share it by PM if you don't feel like posting publicly. Enjoy your stay. EDIT: P.S. My age is 27, just so you don't think I'm an old geezer. : Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : selmiak December 08, 2011, 08:20:00 PM REZ is one of the coolest games ever <3
DC or PS2? : Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : smasherimp December 08, 2011, 09:18:59 PM @abisso Post in the audio section is complete. Check it out :)
@selmiak I have all the versions (DC, PS2, 360), and out of DC and PS2 I prefer DC because of the controller, but in my opinion the 360 is the best version because it has the best resolution, framerate of the PS2, sound quality of the DC, and good control making it the definitive version. It's what got me into writing electronic music : Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : selmiak December 09, 2011, 10:05:08 AM Oh yeah, I forgot about that HD Remake on the X360...
Gotta pop this in my PS2 again now and free Eden once more :D btw I heard she has children already... : Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : abisso December 09, 2011, 10:27:06 AM Hey, isn't this thread called "Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread"? But I wouldn't mind a "Retro-gaming" topic in the General Discussion though. ;)
: Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : selmiak December 09, 2011, 10:34:10 AM and there I thought mostly germans are obsessed with these things called rules, but are you trying to kill the little conversation here? This thread will go back to it's intented topic sooner than later anyways :P
: Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : balin2k December 22, 2011, 01:58:18 PM Hey people!
im balin2k i have always been into adventure games. growing up my fav were monkey island. that game got me into them and since then its been my fav type of game and im always looking for new games to play. i have a great fondness for fan made games. a while ago i brought the steam lucas arts pack for the indy games. i had heard of loom but had never played it. it was only the other day i finnaly played and was instantly in love with the game, i couldnt beleve that such a great game had been under my nose for so long. i found myself looking up all i could about the game and then discovered te sequels that were never mad. i was quite heart broken that the games were never made, until i found this site, and the word seemed right again. i cant wait to see this game finnished, and if i can help in any way just ask. im a student studying media at uni atm, so i have access to great video and audio equipment including a tv studio and a radio studio/recording booth. so if they can help in any way just say :) x : Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : abisso December 22, 2011, 03:36:35 PM Hi Balin, I'm always glad when people discovers great games of the past, and appreciates them.
What are your abilities as a media student? Would you mind leaving a post in the Project Assistance sub-board? The first things that came into my mind, since you have access to professional equipment is voice acting, but I suppose you're not a native English speaker... but maybe you can help in other ways. Thanks for your offer, in the meantime! : Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : balin2k December 26, 2011, 06:00:41 PM i will make a post in that section, sure. yeah i am a native english speaker, i live in england :) and i do have access to radio booths and such. i will make that post soon and see where it can go
: Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : RyuSpike February 22, 2012, 01:34:43 PM I am RyuSpike and I am from Pennsylvania, USA. I got here because I favorited Loom fanart on dA. Having played the game as a kid, it had left an impression that would never leave me to this day. Now I am 21 years old and still looking into what college I should go to. Not the wealthiest person around so... I like to dig into old things I have seen in the past and review them in a more mature perspective rather than an innocent one. It is always interesting to see how the things you liked aren't always as great as you thought of them to be while other things you often overlooked, or thought boring, turn out to be much deeper and enjoyable to you now. Just like Loom for example. Which is how I got here.
But other than being a fan, I don't think I will be much use outside judging the product as it is being made. : Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : Estme February 23, 2012, 06:46:15 PM Hello everyone, I'm Estme and Abisso brought me here :) I'm a 19 year old Loom fan from Poland studying painting at the Academy of Fine Arts. My dream is to become an animator, since I think animation will give me a great opportunity to express myself as an artist. But I have no experience in this and no chances to gain it at the moment.
I introduced myself as a Loom fan and I indeed love this game. I also enjoyed playing Monkey Island series, Goblins (or Gobliiins or Goblins Quest or whatever it's actually called), Teenagent (I truly recommend this one since it's not very popular! It's a kinda short, but hard as hell and extremely funny game that deserves way more fans) or Transport Tycoon as a kid (I downloaded this game again some time ago and had already reached year 2000... game creators had some funny expectation about the future). But my all time favorite game, which has had a huge influence on my imagination and which I can literally play with my eyes close, is Legend of Kyrandia: Hand of Fate. Enough about me though. I have to admit I am really excited about this project and I'd love to contribute, the thing is I can't do much. I know nothing about pixel art even though I adore old games' graphics. However I can offer my services as a translator, that's for sure. I speak both English and Polish fluently so if you plan to release the game in Polish, feel free to ask me for a translation! I was also thinking about voice acting, but I still have no experience in this. Definitely should give it a try one day. My friends and family used to tell me I would make a good voice actress. By the way, if you want to see my art, feel free check my gallery (http://estme.deviantart.com) on deviantArt. (I've beenpretty inactive lately so except for the newest studies there isn't much to see there.) : Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : Juditangelo February 24, 2012, 07:29:45 AM Guess I introduced me in the wrong place in my other post, sorry, I'll start again:
Hi there! I'm Juditangelo and a fan of Loom since teen years, when one of my best friends shared her original Loom for PC game with me, and I fell in love with it! I'm much of a videogames addict and even with great games like we have today, I miss some of the old-fashioned way graphic adventures like Loom or Simon the Sorcerer of the Kyrandia Trylogy. I ended here thanks to Abisso, who contacted me in my gallery of DeviantArt, and hope to being useful around Forge project, I can offer myself for doing concept art and translation to spanish, since is my mother language. Not so much to say about me by the moment, I'm a little shy. See you! : Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : abisso February 24, 2012, 12:11:51 PM Wow, it seems I'm one hell of a talent-scout, am I not? ;D
Welcome to all of you, and thanks for having found the time to sign in and post. I suggest you all use the Project Assistance section to make a post about your skills and examples of those. And of course feel free to contact me at the email address I gave you on DeviantArt and that you can find in the Team section of the website by clicking on my name. And don't be afraid of bothering me in case I forget to answer you: it's been such a messy week and I've contacted so many people I think I should add "secretary" to the list of my occupations for the team. Enjoy the stay! : Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : Gerbel April 07, 2012, 12:49:37 AM I have long been a fan of Lucas Arts Games, and am offering my services as a professional voice over artist for free in this game for the English version.
I currently do audio book narrations, and telephone IVR system work, as well as character voices for some web series. I would be honoured to contribute to this project, and look forward to hearing of any opportunities that arise. I have also offered to extend my services to sister projects, Return Of The Tentacle, and was originally going to assist with the (now aborted) Loom sequel by Apeiron Games, (now working on ROTT). I (obviously) have professional recording equipment, and am currently in the process of building my new recording studio which should be up and running within the next month or so. In the mean time, I can do rough recordings for editing and directing purposes if desired. Please let me know what you think, i'd love to hear from you. My Skype username is " flyinggerbel ". -Adam : Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : abisso April 10, 2012, 06:31:46 AM Welcome onboard, Adam. I've already read your email, and I will answer there in some minutes.
There are still a lot of characters in search of a voice. Actually only Rusty's role has been covered, together with some minor ones. Thanks for your offer. : Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : Zerointerno June 28, 2012, 03:57:39 AM Hello there. I am from Russia, 27 years old. I am fond of old-fashioned quests like Loom and I miss the era of such games now. Glad your project makes the progress. I would like to aid the Forge somehow, but it seems like you are going fine already with the things I am able to do (mostly midi-music and some minor works with the static graphics as well). Still I can translate all the text (dialogues, in-game text, manual, menu, credits and everything what happens to be written there) to Russian. Most of old-skool russian gamers who would appreciate a Loom sequel will prefer an English version anyway, but perhaps translation will leave a possibility for the Forge to involve a wider auditory into the world of Loom.
Well, if I am not of much use then I will just be happy on being a part of Forge fanbase. : Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : abisso June 28, 2012, 10:10:48 AM Welcome on board! Please post in the Project Assistance appropriate sub-board with a detailed explanation on what you can do, your portfolios / past experiences, and the free-time you'd be willing to share.
You're the first Russian to offer as a translator and if I find an appropriate font and an easy way to integrate it, I will gladly let you do the translation. What interests me most is what you called "minor work on static sprites". If it's pixel-art, then it CAN be useful, actually. : Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : Zerointerno June 29, 2012, 02:04:20 AM Please post in the Project Assistance appropriate sub-board with a detailed explanation on what you can do, your portfolios / past experiences, and the free-time you'd be willing to share. I sent you a PM instead. Will it do? : Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : Samuel Varg Thunberg July 07, 2012, 04:52:50 PM Been in the site for a while but I dont think I have introduced myself yet...
I?m a soon-to-reach-30 magician from Sweden. Deals mostly with psychologic illusions. A huge fan for older Lucas Arts puzzle-solving-games. Thats me in a nut shell. : Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : abisso July 08, 2012, 08:15:38 AM Welcome Sorcerer!
Is 30 the level you're about to reach, or just your age? (nerd-rpg-pun intended) Loom is not exactly a puzzle solving game, or at least not the most challenging, but still a wonderful game of its own kind. A magical game. :D : Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : ciscotn December 29, 2012, 09:52:52 AM Hi,
i'm Francesco from Italy, I'm here after an invite by abisso. I'm a LucasArts/LucasFilm fan, and I like help you in your project. : Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : vormaen February 07, 2013, 08:49:59 PM I am Vormaen, from Kansas City, MO, USA. I am an artist, voice actor, writer......I dabble in everything. I am linked to some other projects, to include the Skyrim Middle Earth Mod (MERP) and Tron 2.0 mod User Error.
Of course I have a deep love for Loom and what it brought to my imagination as a child. I hope I can bring something to this project, and Look forward to the finished product, as a fan and a gamer!! http://www.moddb.com/members/vormaen/downloads (http://www.moddb.com/members/vormaen/downloads) : Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : GovernorEMarley February 11, 2013, 07:25:46 PM Hey I'm Kath and I'm from Wales.
I've been playing Lucas arts games most of my life. My Mum had an Atari ST and Loom is 1 of the first games i ever played and i've continued to play it up till now. I hope that when my kids are a bit older then can experience the magic i did when i played this game. I've been working on a gameplay commentary youtube channel and LOOM was the first game i did (the steam version). Being my first 1 isn't not that high standard but i plan to re-do it in the new future (hopefully the non-talkie original version). Would love to put forge on my channel when it goes live. http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL9C3DD6D5DE0DAFE6&feature=view_all (http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL9C3DD6D5DE0DAFE6&feature=view_all) ^ link to the Loom playlist. Like i've already said it's not that good but a better version is in the works : Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : abisso February 12, 2013, 09:41:29 AM Hello Kath, and welcome on board.
I'd like to watch your Loom commentary, so why don't you edit your post and add a link to your channel? It would be free publicity as well! :D And I'm glad you plan to raise your children with games of the age "when dragons ruled the twilight skies, and the stars were bright and numerous". I'd be proud if they feel the same magic while playing Forge as they surely will when playing Loom. And thanks for your offer of doing a video about Forge. I wouldn't mind if you'd do it for the incoming Chapter One demo, and not just for the complete game. : Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : Locke141 January 09, 2016, 03:42:52 AM Hi,
Was playing some Monkey Island 2 and thought of this project. I saw that that there has been no news updates in over a year and it seem no one has posted in over 5 months. Is this a progect dead? If so thats to bad, I have been looking looking forward to it since I found the project two years ago. Best : Re: Standard "Introduce Yourself" Thread : Crusherhq February 07, 2016, 09:07:19 AM Sadly Abisso seemd to be very busy in private Life ... I hope that the project will go on one day .. long time no hear from him ... To bad ;(
