Sounds like a "work for free" job. (I want in!)

I didn't make it, no no. I've just seen it and helped with edits and touchups, but it was never decided upon for the finalizations.

Thanks MPinillos, this is exactly the spirit! Anyway, I'll use the next days to create a detailed to-do list and let you know. I surely could be interested in the coats of arms for Chapter 3, and maybe in the Portraits, but I surely don't need help for the Boxart, which is 90% done already.

Cheers!
Oh? Who's the artist? And what will the boxart be like? Loom-ish but with gauntlets?

It's gorgeous, and that's all I can divulge.

*goes back to keeping on top of business* Sad

Congratulations on the lawn!

Haha, yes it was!  Though that's not the source of why I always choose it as an online handle.  I have just always enjoyed the pattern.

And thanks.  I love that animation, I just hope to find time to clean up the actual rendering of it one of these days.  Submitted that one as was for a mustache challenge that was going on over there but only had time to flesh out the animation timing on it and not so much make it pretty Tongue

Hello everyone.  My name is Carl Douglas and I'm a graphic artist, illustrator, animator, and pixel artist. I will be lending my artistic abilities toward the making of Forge.

By day I work at a community newspaper publishing company creating ads and laying out content for a few weekly publications; by night I wrangle babies and artistify things. My personal portfolio for some of the body of work I have done can be found here - ArgyleBox.com (the site is hardly finished - it is just a very basic link dump in a gallery view). Also, here's a link to my PixelJoint Profile. I have been a lover of the pixel art aesthetic since my childhood from playing King's Quest, Space Quest, Leisure Suit Larry, NES/SNES, etc. but I have only been actively pursuing learning to work within the medium for perhaps the last 2 or 3 years. With a background as an illustrator and flash animator before this, the transition into the medium has not been too harsh. Smiley

I look forward to working on this great ambitious project with you all.  The design plan and what is being presented so far is very well thought out and an excellent continuation on what Loom left us off with!

I used Adobe Illustrator's live trace function to pull a vector version of the PNG version of the logo I did have on hand.  Would be able to tweak it to look more like the original if I were able to get ahold of the original font name

Ran out of time on my lunch break to do any more with this but:

Animated Logo

Might revisit it later to make trails following behind the wispy or something to add to it a bit later, if there's a demand for it.

Well this is quite old but I'd probably be pretty capable of animating it.  A bit of direction as to how you might want it animated would help though.  This was done about 5 years ago for a fledgling MMORPG flash ad.  Their logo was only a static PNG so I redrew it in vector and animated it in flash for the advert. Though it looks like that studio went bellyup, thankfully the ad didn't have anything to do with its demise since I don't think they ever actually moved to the advertisement phase.

Irth Online flash ad with animated logo

Could do all sorts of stuff.  That was just a simple faux lightsource movement animation.

Extra Points for the (maybe not so) obscure Yahtzee reference.
