Great news Smiley

OMG, 800 lines of speech... What a hard job, lol.

As I can see, the project has progressed on the last month, more than I can imagine.

All right, thanks Abisso for the post. Keep going! Smiley

Oh nooooooooooooooooo! Just wait a moment please! There is something you should now.

First of all, the engine I'm using allows an easy way to transfer all the text inside the game into a .txt file which alternates blank lines to text lines. This way, the translator can write the translated text under the original text easily. Then the resulting file is used to create a proper translation file.

Unfortunately I'm not at all sure that I still have a backup copy of the tech-demo project files, as we decided not to translate it and so I simply used the same project for the current demo.

So please stop before you do something pointless! I promise I will check if I still have the files and in case I do I'll send you the proper .txt to use for the translation.

Anyway the real demo is approaching, so it won't take much time before your services (and the ones of the other translators) will be needed.

Thanks for the help anyway! I greatly appreciate this.
Then I'll stop Grin No problem, I was starting Tongue

Ok, please check it, and if you have that .txt file, send me, I'll do my best Wink

You're welcome!

Actually I'm translating the Tech Demo. When finished, I'll send you (abbiso and selmiak) the document.

Ok, thanks to you Smiley

You're one of the most obvious choices when it comes to translate in Spanish, of course. I probably would have asked you even if you didn't offer in the first place. But thanks for doing that all the same!  Wink
Oh, thanks Grin

I'm available whenever you want Wink
10  Project Assistance / Audio / Spanish Voice Actor Here! on: December 28, 2011, 11:17:37 AM
Hello! I offer myself to use my voice whatever you want. I know that you're looking for native English speakers, but I can speak English with British accent very credible.

Anyway, if you need it, it would me very easier for me a character with latin accent Cheesy

Bye!

Hello! As you know, I'm Spanish and I write and speak English very fluently (I've diplomas and certificate to prove it Grin ). I'm a great fan of Loom, I've been playing it since I was 6, every version: EGA, PC-CDROM, Fm-Towns...

I’ve translated into Spanish the Loom Hint Book, which includes the “script” of the Audio Drama, which was released only in English and Japanese ( http://www.mediafire.com/?50c0mx9l6bthip3 ) and created 2 Wikipedia articles (in Spanish) about Forge or The Fold, and translated several Wikipedia articles (http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forge
http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Fold )

I think that this translation would be very important, because of the importance of the Spanish language in the world. It would be for me a pleasure to participate in this awesome project.

Thanks a lot.

Thanks MPinillos, this is exactly the spirit! Anyway, I'll use the next days to create a detailed to-do list and let you know. I surely could be interested in the coats of arms for Chapter 3, and maybe in the Portraits, but I surely don't need help for the Boxart, which is 90% done already.

Cheers!
You're welcome Wink Ok, thanks for the chance!

See you!

Thank you for your efforts in expanding the Loom Fandom on the internet. What I'd really want to know more than anything is;
Did you really paint this?:
http://mpinillos.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d3acz1z

Its fantastic! If you did make this, I have a project for FORGE that I would love your hand at.

Sorry, I didn't paint this. It's the only drawing uploaded in deviantart by myself which isn't mine. However, if you need someone to paint, tell me! Wink

Anyway, why not? I can't paint amazing paintings like this http://mpinillos.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d3acz1z, but I can paint realistic portraits like these http://mpinillos.deviantart.com/#/d4c03ao http://mpinillos.deviantart.com/#/d38c7pr, cartoons/caricatures like this http://mpinillos.deviantart.com/#/d4c02ml or even coats of arms like these http://mpinillos.deviantart.com/#/d4c0dik http://mpinillos.deviantart.com/#/d4c0dxy . So I would be grateful if you allow me to make paintings for you, either character design or box game poster.

To sum up, I can help you drawing anything you demand me or translating the game into Spanish.

See you!

What a pity Undecided At least, it's temporary, maybe he could return Smiley But, if not, thanks to him, he has started a very exciting project! And of course, I'm still here to collaborate with Forge: Remember, Abbiso, whenever you want, send me the dialogues and I will translate them into Spanish.

See you!
15  Everything Forge / Forge Progress - Melting Pot / Re: Mailing list on: June 07, 2011, 10:09:41 AM
You're the first one to show interest, to be honest. Hrmm, I still believe this would be a great idea, although the forums allow to send mass PMs and also mass emails if I'm not mistaken. I'll speak with Duke about it.
Thanks Wink
