Duke here. Well this little project is my brain child. I've seen many attempts at a LOOM sequel come and go over the years, some more polished than others. While I cannot guarantee a complete game with hours of entertainment, my immediate goal is to give the public a fresh LOOM experience that will take you back to the Age of the Great Guilds. I hope a few of my artists and programmers may drop a line here in the next few days if they're interested, and we can get to know each other there. There are no immediate time lines in place, nor is there a current playable demo ready for release. But, I promise that anything relevant will be posted on the board as a teaser, or as an official production release. Contact: If you wish to contact me you can do so in the following ways. 1) Create a topic with your question. others may have the same question. 2) Message me on the board here, nice easy way to track communication. 3) Email, send me a direct email at Da_Duke2000@hotmail.com. 4) MSN, same addy as above . On a personal note, I'm 25, and live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I keep thinking I'm the only Canadian into the adventure scene, not that I mind people from overseas at all .

Abisso, from Italy. Pleased to be here.
After a few adventure games developed by myself, a lot of unfinished projects and, most important, about three years of game-making inactivity, I decided to get back into business.
Duke was in need of help with a game of his (didn't know it was The Forge), and I offered.
I can code and help with the plot and the puzzle creation. We haven't yet decided which of these things I'll actually do in the game-making team.
There's not much more to say: I'm 25, and I study Computer Science at Pisa, Italy, just 20 minutes from Livorno, where I live.

Well I am Dracothuban. I am 27. I am in the army and I am from California, USA . I was first turned on to adventure games by Monkey Island. I saw a walkthrough in a Gamepro or something back in the day and I thought the insult swordfighting was hilarious. At that time I didn't have a computer so I had to wait until Monkey Island 4 to be able to play and I loved it. Since then my adventure game list includes all monkey islands, Loom (of course), the dig, all of the Mysts, runaway, Return to Mysterious Island, Keepsake, Secret Files: Tunguska, and Riddle of the sphinx. Those are all that i can remember . I love games in general and hope i can contribute something that seems like a great project thus far. Oh btw i was tapped for this project because of a Let's Play series for loom on youtube. It can be found at

I'm kaio, from Germany. I'm an adventure fan since I'm a kid. I'm currently the character designer for the Indiana Jones project "Crown of Solomon" and did some various other stuff in the past. I'm also coding a LOOM template for AGS, but I'm quite new to coding. I could help with graphics for characters, animations and backgrounds. LOOM always was my favourite adventure. I dreamed about being the director of a possible LOOM-movie all my life, but developing the sequel is better than this . Hello everyone, I'm excited to get it going!

Hi there! My Name is Nico, I'm living in Hamburg/Germany. I want to wish you the best for your Project. We are working on our own Loom-FanGame too, but completely different, we are continuing the Story of Bobbin instead of going the (original) way of Rusty Nailbender. I like the retro-style of your project, mabye You'll come up with "fold" too? I am doing the part of coding and scripting, we are using the Wintermute Engine for our Game, which is 1280x800 hires. Sincerly, Spellbreaker http://www.apeironstudios.com

I'm David from Scotland. I've liked adventure games for several years now (mainly LucasArts games.) I'm looking forward to seeing how this project turns out (by the looks of it so far, I'd say it looks to be good)

SAG aka Shonen-Ai Guy. I'm a total adventure game junkie that's been playing since he was like 8. I'm in all probability going to be doing some background art for this game. Add me on fouridragon@hotmail.comfouridragon@ymail.comto discuss anything. or look me up as Shonen-Ai Guy on the AGS forums. I'm new to LOOM but in love with it (thx duke). Pleased to meet all.

Hey folks,
I'm Matt from England, I'm 29 and I'll be working on some backgrounds for the game.
I played a lot of the old Lucasarts games starting with Zak McKrakin and then moving onto Monkey Island 1+2, Fate Of Atlantis, Sam and Max etc.- never managed to finish any of them without guides though. Only played through Loom last year (and yeah, I had to use a guide at one point...). At the moment I'm stuck on the Dig, but haven't folded and looked at a guide yet...!

Hello! I am Angelina 28 from Greece. I have been a great fan of Loom since I first played it back in the 90ies on an amiga 500 plus and was mostly impressed by its story. I also admire its author for it! If you need people to work on the texts I might be able to contribute.
I am actually a ballet teacher and I know Swan Lake almost by heart... I could recommend some scores to be used in the new game. That is, I hope you will use some original Tschaikovsky melodies!
