Hello. I'm Wonkyth, an Australian student who is just getting into adventure games. I haven't yet played LOOM, but I plan to some time soon. My forte is programming, but as far as I can tell that job is filled, so all I can offer is an opinion. Looking forward to seeing more from this project.

Welcome onboard Wonkyth.
I'll gladly ask your advice if I'm in trouble with some code. Thanks for your offer and support!

yeah, you really should play loom before playing forge, but you'll have enough time to do so

Hello everyone. My name is Carl Douglas and I'm a graphic artist, illustrator, animator, and pixel artist. I will be lending my artistic abilities toward the making of Forge. By day I work at a community newspaper publishing company creating ads and laying out content for a few weekly publications; by night I wrangle babies and artistify things. My personal portfolio for some of the body of work I have done can be found here - ArgyleBox.com (the site is hardly finished - it is just a very basic link dump in a gallery view). Also, here's a link to my PixelJoint Profile. I have been a lover of the pixel art aesthetic since my childhood from playing King's Quest, Space Quest, Leisure Suit Larry, NES/SNES, etc. but I have only been actively pursuing learning to work within the medium for perhaps the last 2 or 3 years. With a background as an illustrator and flash animator before this, the transition into the medium has not been too harsh. I look forward to working on this great ambitious project with you all. The design plan and what is being presented so far is very well thought out and an excellent continuation on what Loom left us off with!

Haha, yes it was! Though that's not the source of why I always choose it as an online handle. I have just always enjoyed the pattern. And thanks. I love that animation, I just hope to find time to clean up the actual rendering of it one of these days. Submitted that one as was for a mustache challenge that was going on over there but only had time to flesh out the animation timing on it and not so much make it pretty

Welcome officially Argyle, and to any following the topic, Argyle is indeed an artist well suited to the Loom Style.

I'm 23, from the US and living in Israel right now, just kicking around after college before heading back to grad school and committing myself to a career. I played Loom as a little kid with my dad and it's one of the first games in my memory along with all kinds of other early-90s classics like Monkey Island 1 and 2, Commander Keen, Master of Orion, the King's Quest games, etc. I always loved Loom and I've been waiting for something like this to happen for the past two decades. I can't really contribute anything other than maybe dialogue or storyline editing and don't know if I'd have time to do that, but I'm real excited about playing this. Edit: I guess I could also potentially contribute art ideas. I'm an amateur photographer and I'm living right now in an Arab town with a really beautiful old city full of all kinds of architectural gems; maybe some of my photos could lend inspiration for set design. here are my photos - http://s263.photobucket.com/home/julesdoesthemiddleeast

Sorry for the late reply, welcome to the forum! If we have any questions with conceptual layout, we'll definitely make a topic and feel free to contribute.

Hi. I'm Danilo, from Italy. I'm 22 and I work as web designer. I love graphical adventure games like Monkey Island, Indiana Jones, Beneath a Steel Sky, Kyrandia, Zak McKracken...and obviously Loom. I think Forge is really interesting, so I offer my graphic skills if you need...otherwise I'll be pleased to play this game.
