Now that we're past the initial stage, and we can almost call us a team, I think we should really think about having a logo and a name. Nothing crucial, of course, but if anyone's got an idea, please share it. This is the kind of things that help looking serious and feeling more confident.
Of course, the artists can be the most fit to this task, so if you, Kaio and Sag, would like to sketch something, that would be cool.
I will just suggest some names, instead. They're sorted from the one I like most to the one I like less:
1. The "Shore of Wonder" 2. Moirai Studios (the Moirai are Clotho, Lachesis and Athropos in Greek mythology) 3. The GameForge

I suppose not... the funny thing is that I started playing their browsergame Bitefight after writing this message, and didn't even know who they were before your post!
Still, even if we didn't decide any name yet, you can still think about a logo and maybe sketch it. I know a logo is often related to or containing the company name, but... just give it a try, will you?

Well, we have a name (definitive) and a logo (probably temporary). Quill o' the Wisp, as you can see in the upper-left corner of the page. I'd like it to be animated though, and I'd like to hear suggestions for something cool. I was thinking about a round "will o' the wisp" (which could later transform into the tip of the quill) that could write the team name at it's passage. Then it could go to the position where the tip of the quill actually is, and then the quill itself could fade in. Just an idea. And not an urgent matter for sure.

Sounds bloody cool. Sounds like something a Flash Artist could do.

The logo I think it to stay. Does anyone have any Flash experience by chance? We could love to see the Quill "draw" the words before it settles itself under the team name.

Well this is quite old but I'd probably be pretty capable of animating it. A bit of direction as to how you might want it animated would help though. This was done about 5 years ago for a fledgling MMORPG flash ad. Their logo was only a static PNG so I redrew it in vector and animated it in flash for the advert. Though it looks like that studio went bellyup, thankfully the ad didn't have anything to do with its demise since I don't think they ever actually moved to the advertisement phase. Irth Online flash ad with animated logoCould do all sorts of stuff. That was just a simple faux lightsource movement animation.

Ran out of time on my lunch break to do any more with this but: Animated LogoMight revisit it later to make trails following behind the wispy or something to add to it a bit later, if there's a demand for it.

It's EXACTLY what I had in mind. Lovely, truely lovely.
Thanks Argyle.
P.S. Don't tell me you had to re-draw it from scratch! It looks different, even if it's very difficult to notice.

I used Adobe Illustrator's live trace function to pull a vector version of the PNG version of the logo I did have on hand. Would be able to tweak it to look more like the original if I were able to get ahold of the original font name
