Hello, I’m so glad to be part of this community. I’ve joined here the 1st of January. From that day, I’ve visited this web each day, and I felt that I could do something to help you on this brilliant project, but because of studies, I couldn’t.

First, allow me to present myself: I’m Manuel Pinillos (Manuel Martínez de Pinillos Pérez-Estudillo, for more details xD), and I live in Seville, Spain (Europe). I’m a big fan of Loom since I was 6, when I played with Amiga. Well, I’ve been very interested in the world of Loom… I know all the details of the game, I’ve played all the versions (Amiga, Pc-Cd Rom, Fm-Towns…) and I’ve done a lot of things to the Loom community:

- I’ve created 3 Wikipedia articles (in Spanish) about Forge, The Fold and the “Trilogy of the Great Guilds”:

http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forge
http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Fold
http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Trilog%C3%ADa_de_los_Grandes_Gremios

- I’ve translated into Spanish the Loom Hint Book, which includes the “script” of the Audio Drama, which was released only in English and Japanese:

http://loomforgethefold.blogspot.com/
http://www.mediafire.com/?50c0mx9l6bthip3

- I’ve uploaded the Game Soundtrack of Loom to Youtube, including the Audio Drama (All in one video, not divided in parts):

http://www.youtube.com/user/ManoloPinillos#g/c/DF0B9639209FD32C

- And I’ve painted of portrait of a supposed master Bobbin Threadbare, and I’ve uploaded it to DeviantART:

http://browse.deviantart.com/?qh=&section=&global=1&q=bobbin+threadbare#/d3ep6kl

Now, when I decided to provide on this project, I questioned myself: “Well, what can I do for them?” And I can do a very important thing: I can TRANSLATE it into SPANISH. I think that a game translated would be used as a support claim to Spanish and South-America (Argentina, Mexico…) people, and many of them would help us in this project.

Well, all this would be if you want. See you!

Ps: Sorry if you don’t understand some phrases. If you don’t understand any phrase, just tell me Wink and I’ll  improve my English level Wink

Thank you for your efforts in expanding the Loom Fandom on the internet. What I'd really want to know more than anything is;
Did you really paint this?:
http://mpinillos.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d3acz1z

Its fantastic! If you did make this, I have a project for FORGE that I would love your hand at.

Sorry, I didn't paint this. It's the only drawing uploaded in deviantart by myself which isn't mine. However, if you need someone to paint, tell me! Wink

Hi everyone.

I'm a spanish computer engineer. I would like to collaborate on the project. I have a Master in videogames Design & Development too.

Although I have never used AGS, I think it won't cost me to know the software and the programming language.

I can do some things with Photoshop and characters pixel art too.

I'm also a professional writer and screenwriter, so I can contribute to script stuff if needed.

Regards!
Ángel.

Anyway, why not? I can't paint amazing paintings like this http://mpinillos.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d3acz1z, but I can paint realistic portraits like these http://mpinillos.deviantart.com/#/d4c03ao http://mpinillos.deviantart.com/#/d38c7pr, cartoons/caricatures like this http://mpinillos.deviantart.com/#/d4c02ml or even coats of arms like these http://mpinillos.deviantart.com/#/d4c0dik http://mpinillos.deviantart.com/#/d4c0dxy . So I would be grateful if you allow me to make paintings for you, either character design or box game poster.

To sum up, I can help you drawing anything you demand me or translating the game into Spanish.

See you!

Thanks MPinillos, this is exactly the spirit! Anyway, I'll use the next days to create a detailed to-do list and let you know. I surely could be interested in the coats of arms for Chapter 3, and maybe in the Portraits, but I surely don't need help for the Boxart, which is 90% done already.

Cheers!

Oh? Who's the artist? And what will the boxart be like? Loom-ish but with gauntlets?

Wait a minute Carl AKA Argyle... did you do that? Or you're just teasing as you've seen it, you bad guy? Cheesy

Anyway, I remember more than one person contributed to that wonderful piece of art (I'm teasing too, right now), but I'll have to ask Duke for the names.

And, by the way, Alex: your guess may not be too far from truth. Wink

I didn't make it, no no. I've just seen it and helped with edits and touchups, but it was never decided upon for the finalizations.

Heh.

So, will the cover be revealed along with the demo's release, or earlier? Smiley
