Hi, I would like to contribute with my decent knowledge of English and translate this game into Czech, my mother tongue. There is already a Czech translation of Loom, so I have a base to start off. I have recently played the first chapter (amazing Loom-like experience) and I would love to help this project.

Hey Illidan.

I'm glad to see a new language add to the already long list! I need to know some info about its alphabet and special characters though, in order to create a proper font if necessary.

Would you mind sharing this info here? I think it might be interesting for other people as well.

On a side note, I wish I'll find the time to come back to Prague and also visit the rest of your country, some day. I've been there about 15 years ago and just as a school trip. Enjoyed the stay, but didn't have enough freedom to explore.

Glad to hear it. Hope you will visit us again someday.  Smiley

The Czech alphabet contains the following additional characters: Á á É é Í í Ó ó Ú ú Ů ů Ý ý Č č Ď ď Ě ě Ň ň Ř ř Š š Ť ť Ž ž. We also use these quotation marks: „ “, but they are not needed.

Wow, it's a huge set of unique characters. I'm afraid it will be impossible to have them all, unless there are some others who are never needed instead. It would help if you could make a comprehensive list of needed characters, and suggest ones that could be removed or substituted with other similar ones.
e.g. in Italian we have both "è" and "é" but old LucasArts games used "e" followed by apostrophe ( ' ) in place of them. Not a wonderful solution, but acceptable sometimes.

Unfortunately the game's engine only supports a limited number of unique characters at the moment.

Are you sure there isn't enough character space in the font? I had a Czech font somewhere and the letters fitted in, although closely. But, I guess the uppercase special letters can be substituted with a normal letter and an apostrophe.
