So, time has almost come to enter the beta-stage for this long awaited demo.
I won't announce the exact date yet, but I believe it's a good idea to begin recruiting volunteers.

The following rules will be taken into consideration to choose the beta-testers:

1. Donors come first.
2. Members with a high post count come first.
3. First come, first served.

Don't forget being a beta-tester is a position of high responsibility, and not just a way to take a peek to the game before the official release. You're supposed to play with a notepad and a pen next to you all the time, writing down bugs, suggestions, typos, etc. and in such a way that they can be identified easily.

All the beta-testers will get proper credits, of course.

And after this warm up... get ready... set... go!

Subscriptions are open!

You know what you're risking when you say such things, don't you?  Grin

Hi, remember me?  I'm Robert Carlson, and I offered a few times to do proofreading, so I'd be more than happy to do beta-testing.

The only thing I love more than playing old LucasArts games is exploring every nook and cranny of old LucasArts games, and sometimes I've even broken them! Cheesy

MPinillos, I could have sworn you'd offer, mate!

And of course I do remember you Robert. I hope you didn't forget what I told you by email some time ago: when the demo is out, there could be a place for you in the team, if you're still interested. But this is not the place to discuss this topic.

Since I am a newcomer and didn't contribute to the project anyhow yet, I don't hope much to be enrolled to the beta-testing. But keep me on mind if it suddenly happens for you to have a lack of testers. I love to criticize other's flaws and mistakes Wink

I would love to beta test for you.  I'm particularly good with proof-reading (I'm an editor) and grew up on the Loom game (it's what interested me in music as a child).

Guys please be patient. Last month has been a tough one but betatesting will start as soon as possible.

Thanks to everyone that has enrolled for now, but I sincerely expected more people to be interested in this phase. Spread the word.

Hi, I would love to betatest the demo.

And I'm "Bounce" by the way, the first donor (2010-09-17)

Keep up the great work.

Hi Abisso,

I've been following this project for awhile - I love old 90's adventure games, and of these, Loom is second only to The Longest Journey as my favourite. One of my oldest memories of using a computer is of puzzling my way through Loom with my Dad, who for some reason recieved a copy as part of a promotional deal. For awhile a few months back I was worried Forge would stall out, but I'm really excited to see how far along it's come. I've wanted to contribute for some time, but I don't know how to program and my artistic skills are pretty much nil. Beta-testing though, that I can do. I'm observant, articulate, and I'd love to participate in making Forge a fantastic reality. I've played a wide variety of adventure games, and I feel like I'm in a good position to explain why certain things would or wouldn't work for me. I'm also an English major and used to work as a proofreader - expect me to catch any typo that slips through. Wink

Anyways, I hope you'll consider making me a part of the beta team, and either way I wish you best of luck with the project.
